jelly discs

Ascocoryne sarcoides

Description:

Clumps of small flesh-coloured discs about 5mm wide. They felt like firm jelly. There was an amorphous shape amidst the clump and these are probably a conidial form which produces non-sexual spores.

Habitat:

Spotted on the sawn-off end of a dam log.
