Armored Sea Star

Astropecten armatus

According to Wikipedia and Encyclopedia of Life, this species only occurs as far north as Baja, California. However, I am fairly confident that this is the same sand star you can find on the beaches in Santa Barbara. Please correct me if I am wrong.
