Three-spotted Skipper

Cymaenes tripunctus

Description:

Family: Hesperidae > Subfamily: Hesperiinae > Tribe: Hesperiini. About half the size of the Monk Skippers that were darting around the understory of the mini tropical forest they've created at the botanical garden. Was found in a very shaded area and darted away only after close exposure to my lens, and sadly could not be followed.
