Bracket Fungus

Description:

These bracket fungi were growing in tiers with dark and hairy upper surfaces. The under surface was white with angular pores, which in sections revealed flat open-toothed pore tubes. The texture of these brackets were soft and firm, the upper surface was moist and felt like firm jelly.

Habitat:

Spotted growing on the surface of a recently sawn wood (Mountain Ash - Eucalytpus regnans)
