Thanks Greg, Roy, and Neil! @Neil, I don't carry a mirror. Sometimes I can get a shot of the underside with a wide angle lens, and other times I tip the mushroom to see the gills/pores. The white mushroom is a different species of Amanita.

Excellent spotting, Christine. These photos are gorgeous. Do you carry a mirror to get photos of the underside? And the smaller white specimen is the same species and will colour-up with age?
