Description:

Rather large orange fungi lined with yellow, growing on side of tree. It's as if someone melted Candy-corn and slapped it onto the tree.

Habitat:

Found in John Heinz Wildlife refuge.

Notes:

Hard to miss!

Spotting these is always a joy. The mushrooms are big and noticeable from a distance in the woods. Laetiporus comprises edible mushrooms, which is definitely a plus!
