wasp

Description:

large at least 2cm long

Habitat:

The most fascinating behavior shown by this individual, most likely the same one or others from the same hive, is that several days in a row i have spotted one chewing noisily on the same piece of wood from a dead garden plant which i leave in the garden instead of "cleaning up" the yard. Wild creatures need materials to build with as this one seems to be collecting wood shavings for a likely nest.
