Rio Grande Wild Turkey (mom and baby)

Meleagris gallopavo intermedia

Description:

The adult is iridescent brown all over with a featherless head. This mom only had one baby with it, normal clutches are 10-12. So I assume something happened to the other babies.

Habitat:

Walking in the tall grass behind a campsite in Palo Duro Canyon SP
