Crab spider (Thomisus onustus) with its prey (a large white butterfly-Pieris brassicae) on wild basil (Clinopodium vulgare).

Just a week before, and in exactly the same location, on the same plant, I had taken a photograph of a spider (probably the same) camouflaged, waiting for the pollinators of wild basilfor as its prey. See spotting: http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/192...
