Snowy Tree Cricket

It's green and hopper or cricket like with transparent green flat wings and it moves in a way that makes me worry about biting

School yard lawn

It was in the green grass but kids captured it with the dry grass it's shown on here

Hi Annette, this is a great shot of a cricket! Unfortunately it doesn't belong in The Hoppers mission. I've removed it for you but am looking forward to seeing a hopper that meets the mission objective :)

Also, I don't think they bite, so no worries there. Tree Crickets do have a sorta disjointed locomotion on the ground from my experience. Happy spotting!

You are most welcome. I'm happy I could help. I hope the children enjoyed seeing it.

This looks like a tree cricket, maybe a snowy tree cricket. See the link for some pictures.
