Variegated Lady Beetle

Hippodamia variegata

Description:

Small, oval shaped lady beetle. Orangish-red coloration on elytra with variable spotting (this one has a total of 11 spots I think). Protonum is black with white edging. A small white stripe goes about half-way up the middle. Two small white spots are on either side of the white stripe.

Habitat:

Suburban garden, hiding in the Giant Hibiscus.

Notes:

Introduced from Europe.
