Lyssomanes sp.
Lyssomanes is a spider genus of the Salticidae family (jumping spiders). Approximately 80 species have been described, ranging from South and Central America, up to the southern United States. They are long-legged, with translucent bodies frequently green or yellow. They resemble lynx spiders, except that they have large anterior median eyes.
Thanks Lauren. I also thought it was a spider Lynx. Then I showed a picture for the João, he said it's a jumping spider. Baycca, I put Lyssomanes sp. I can not be sure. Wait for help.
There are about 40 species of Lyssomanes in Brazil. Can we be sure that we got the right one? I am not sure if L. viridis goes down so far to the south. Please, I do not challenge the suggested ID, I think the genus is correct, but would you please check the range once more and try to get some more info about the several species.
Amazing Sckel, I thought it was a type of Linx Spider at first! Really nice find!
Thank you for ID, TKBotting. This is the most amazing jumping spider I've ever found.
