Marsh Frog

Pelophylax ridibundus

Description:

Typical frog with long hind legs and well defined and visible central and lateral lines on the back, generally green-colored. However, there is large variation in coloring, from green to brown or grey; with dark blotches or spots. Ventral side on all specimens observed was white or pale in color sporting same black spots

Habitat:

Marsh frog is native to Europe, and widespread within its range. It is water-dwelling, and can be seen around lakes, rivers, ponds or marshes.
