My camera doesn't handle reds very well and as a result this photo came out a lot more orange than in real life... so I used photoshop to make it a bit more red but actually it was more red than this.

Hard to tell from this one pic, what was the size? Look up cinnabar red chanterelle and see if it's a match, that's my bet
