Hycleus burmeisteri
Medium-sized with a body length of 13mm. Head, pronotum, elytra, legs and the undesida are covered with greyish hairs. Antennae brownish red except for the two basal segments, which are black. Adults feed on flowers, leaves and buds of cotton, citrus and vegetables.
Airstrip, meadow- and bushland. Semi urban area.
Blister beetles in general: Blister beetles are beetles (Coleoptera) of the family Meloidae, so called for their defensive secretion of a blistering agent, cantharidin. Cantharidin is a poisonous chemical that causes blistering of the skin. Cantharidin is used medically to remove warts and is collected for this purpose from some species of blister beetles.There are approximately 7,500 known species worldwide. Blister beetles are hypermetamorphic, going through several larval stages. The larvae are insectivorous

oh i'll try to get back have some moths but no time to upload, im exploring but on the scientific level ;) i know they are supposed to be a bit poisonous but they are just too cute ;) big hug down to africa
