The name of the family containing this spotting's unidentified species is "the whites" (Pieridae) because most species worldwide are dominantly white coloured. Habitat:

This spotting in a large semi-urban yard & garden adjacent to a disturbed patch of remnant forest, in the equatorial tropics of northern New Guinea.
