Seen sunning himself atop a rock in our garden - the coloration was striking to say the least.. was calm and composed - but made a break for cover as soon as i took the pic.

Notes:

An endemic lizard - mainly an arboreal species. Whistling lizard has an unusual habit of uttering a high pitched whistling sound when alarmed. Hence its vernacular name. It feeds mainly on insects
