Description:

Small fruiting bodies that peek above the ground. Similar to Sarcoscypha occidentalis except in shape and lack of "hair." Not very common, but also not rare.

Habitat:

Grows on dead hardwood, especially if buried or partially buried.

Notes:

First time find this fungi.
