Description:

whitish cap, very pale yellow/tan in centre. covered in white universal veil remnants. margin of cap slightly striated. crowded white gills with smooth edges. free from stem. spore print white. stem white with membranous skirt-like superior ring. stem slightly widens towards base. At base distinct bulb with short conical root. There are universal veil remnants at base but it is difficult to tell if they are scaly or collar-like. stem is hollow. flesh does not bruise any colour. flesh has no odor.

Habitat:

solitary, under deciduous trees

Notes:

best fit I can find is A pantherina var multisquamosa from Roger Phillips. other species which matched in large numberof characteristics are A. citrina, A. gemmata, A. cokeri. possibly a very pale A. muscaria.
