Northern Water Snake

Description:

Walking at Walney Park crossed over a bridge and saw this snake curled up on the branch over the water. Swelled stomach suggest he just enjoyed a delicious lunch.

Habitat:

just about any body of water, very common in northern virginia. live bearers (do not lay eggs), mate in April and Spring.
