Wood Gnat

Sylvicola dubius

Description:

A small gnat about 8 mm long with brown head and thorax. Wings had dark bars but were otherwise clear. Eyes large and the short antennae had a two-toned (brownish yellow) scape.

Habitat:

Spotted near suburban gardens, under bright lights.

Notes:
