Parapediasia teterrellus

Description:

Gray to brown Crambid moth with hints of gold/orange flecks. Dark spots below medial line of forewings. Resting with head down and wings/abdomen up.

Habitat:

At porch lights near overgrown field/front yard and mixed hardwood forest.

Compare to Parapediasia teterrellus. http://bugguide.net/node/view/69913

With these moths, it can be helpful to get full side views of the wings, or at least have more than one angle. Some of these guys can have small markings that are different and can help distinguish from each other. :-)
