Unnamed spotting

Description:

houseflies? on Milkweed (large black bodied fly's with a metallic blue/green sheen).

Habitat:

west central ga

Notes:

In addition to the Oleander Aphids, my milkweed was swarming with what I would call houseflies (large black bodied fly's with a metallic blue/green sheen). I observed them for a while and couldn't tell what they were doing, though I think maybe they were eating the droppings and waste of the aphids on the top of the leaves below them. Very strange, never seen this before.
