Description:

Very large and heavy-bodied, 40-60 mm in length (females at larger end of spectrum). Color varies from this typical form to blue, green, or even pink with darker markings.

Habitat:

Disturbed habitat of weeds in sandy soil adjacent to riparian area with arroyo (dry riverbed). Degraded shortgrass prairie describes it well.
