Yellow-breasted chat

Icteria virens

Description:

Yellow-breasted chats are the largest species of New World warbler. The chats were very elusive this day, constantly ducking down into shrubbery until this caught an insect and posed for a couple minutes. He was quite far but I was glad to get a few photos of him.

Habitat:

Field near Jordan Lake
