This is nifty. The toadstool people told me if it is possible to get a picture under the "hood", the gills, identification is easier. I do not like pulling up things just to get that shot, but sometimes you can get a view from the side!

All of these red mushrooms are Russulas, the genus name comes from the color red, as such identifying them can be very difficult to identify without extensive field notes.
