Spotting

Description:

About an inch long, very light brown but darker toward the head, with medium brown spots and stripes on the wings.

Habitat:

I saw this moth on an Esperanza plant in my suburban backyard, at about 4:30 pm. It was warm and sunny at the time but started raining soon after. That's Texas weather for ya!

Notes:

The moth was being very still and didn't seem to notice my presence. It may be a night-flying species that had chosen this spot to rest for the day.
