Sorry I took so long to respond, in fact, the snake did not attack, they always respond in this way, trying to show that they are aggressive (as a defense), certainly the bite can be irritating and there have toxins that can cause local muscle problems..
Jonathan..does it attacked you...I feel it must tried to bite you...Let me know my guessing is correct or wrong..!!
