Ring-tailed lemur

Emur catta

Habitat:

Unfortunately I wasn't able yet to spot it in its real habitat. This was in the Amsterdam Zoo

Notes:

When visiting the zoo recently I found out the Ring-tailed lemur and the red ruffed lemur are no longer together in the zoo. Although they lived together for quiet some time they all of a sudden have gotten into a fight. It seems the zoo does change their behavior.

I've added a note on their behavior towards the red-ruffed lemur: http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/662...

Lovely shot. Beware of your picknick basket when these little critters are around!

@LarsKorb. Thanks!
It took some time to shoot these, since these animals never sit still very long :-). But is was really fun.

Katta is the common name (the scientific name (ending) is catta - as you posted correctly)

@LarsKorb Would Katta be a nickname, or a correction to the given scientific name?

They're called Katta(s) if I am not totally wrong...
