Cedar Waxwing

Bombycilla cedrórum

Description:

A flock of cedar waxwings circled our parking lot today at work. It appears as if they came to the holly bushes at a nearby restaurant and picked them clean of berries. These are not great pictures, but I was able to get close enough to see the very unique coloration of the waxwings from the yellow tipped tail to the red dots on the wings. Very cool.

Habitat:

West central Georgia... may have been migrating through.
