Looks like the one - and it says the range extends to southern Canada. I have only ever seen this one individual around here. I would love to see the caterpillar - weird! Thanks for your help.

I did a quick Google search for "moth maine brown eye spots" and this guy was the first result. It looks pretty close, what do you think?
