The taxonomy hasn't changed. C.c.priapus is correct. Although the buttermilk and yellow-bellied racer also range into small portions on Arkansas.

While it is common to refer to all subspecies of racer found in the south as Blue Runners (or racers) you actually have the Southern Black Racer , Coluber constrictor priapus there in Arkansas . Unless the taxonomy has changed again in which case I stand corrected.
