This curassow is a female. Males have a more solid color where females have the striped or variated colors.

Habitat:

This female is currently living in captivity at Tulsa Zoo. Natural habitats can be found in the lowland subtropical or tropical forests of Brazil, Argentina, Bolivia, and Paraguay.
