Description:

Papilio dardanus (the African Swallowtail, Mocker Swallowtail or Flying Handkerchief), is a species of butterfly in the family Papilionidae (the Swallowtails). The species is broadly distributed throughout sub-Saharan Africa.

Habitat:

Flying around the edges of the forest, bordering the camping site.

Notes:

Maramagambo Forest is located in Bushenyi, Uganda, closet to the border with The Congo. It is part of the Queen Elizabeth National Park and is located in the southern part of the forest.
