Epicauta pensylvanica
Adults are soft-bodied, long-legged beetles with the head fully exposed and constricted to form an unusually narrow neck.
Widely distributed in the central and/or eastern U.S. This beetle was spotted in Elton, Pennsylvania.
Larvae of most genera enter the nests of wild bees, where they consume both immature bees and the provisions of one or more cells.
