Description:

A large Plume Moth of the Family Pterophoridae. This one rests in one of the typical poses in which the abdomen is curled upwards the hind pair of legs are aligned on the axis of the abdomen (3rd picture). About 1 cm in length.

Habitat:

At lights at night, semi-rural residential area, San Cristobal de Las Casas, Chiapas, Mexico, 2,200 meters.
