This clam is not very spectacular, but when is was young all the rivers were that poisend that no clams could live in them anymore and now after a lot of environmental actions thes are back in the rivers of Europe.

Emma, you are right. The basket clam does not fit really. I checked it and it looks more like a "fingernail clam (Sphaeriidae)".
