Anthene larydas
Anthene larydas, the Spotted Hairtail or Common Ciliate Blue, is a butterfly in the Lycaenidae family. Adult males mud-puddle and are also attracted to sand soaked by urine. They also like human sweat, and several times I had one of these little butterflies land on my skin and 'tickle' me with their probiscus!
Seen on bushes by the side of a dirt road running through the edge of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, SW Uganda.
