Trithemis aurora
MALE: Deep crimson in colour; FEMALE: Orangy. On sunny days, it has the habit of pointing its abdomen vertically upwards, probably to reduce heat exposure. Drops its wings when resting.
Gardens, parks, ponds.
Spotted at the (former) Mandai Orchid Garden, Singapore.

Thank you Yasser! I think Project Noah is the best thing after sliced bread---and I really like sliced bread! I particularly like the way it doesn't just bring knowledge together, but also brings people together who are so generous to share their knowledge. Keep it up, friends!
What a beautiful collection of photos! I also really love the quote on your profile page. Welcome to Project Noah!
