Swamp Bottlebrush

Beaufortia sparsa

Description:

Flower of Western Australia .. Beaufortia looks very much like a Melaleuca bottlebrush, but is in a different genus. The small difference between the genera is in the arrangement of the anthers (the pollen bearing structures of the flowers). In Beaufortia these are attached to the stamens at their bases whereas in Melaleuca the anthers are attached along their sides so it can be quite difficult to separate the two.

Thanks alicelongmartin.. Western Australia Wildflower Season is absolutely amazing! The 7 year old daughter of my friend said .. The Aborigines must have been good gardeners to plant sooo many beautiful flowers..

Very Pretty. It has some similarity to our tree and likely our tree came from your country.
