Swamp Paperbark

Melaleuca ericifolia

Description:

Melaleuca ericifolia, commonly known as swamp paperbark, is a shrub or small tree in the genus Melaleuca, native to Australia. A bush growing up to 5 meters in height. Covered with small white bottlebrush-like flowers. The leaves are more like pine needles than leaves proper.

Thanks Vinny. Looking up Melaleuca, there seem to be many species that have similar flowers, you really have to know your plants!

Probably Melaleuca ericifolia due to relatively short flower spikes, M. armillaris is similar but has larger flower spikes.
