Eastern Gray Squirrel

Sciurus carolinensis

Description:

Primarily gray fur with some white and brown. Fluffy tail.

Habitat:

This is one of the squirrels that lives in a hollow in the sycamore tree behind our house. The sycamore is situated between two mature oak trees.

Notes:

It was 100 degrees out the afternoon I took this photo, and the squirrel was lying belly down on the limb of the sycamore taking it easy.
