Papilio demoleus
Large semi-urban yard/garden adjacent to a patch of disturbed remnant forest.
Nearly every afternoon this species alights on clumps of planted vertiver grass (Chrysopogon zizanioides) in our yard. Today they were favoring (non-blooming) irises. This individual took flight just as I photographed it. One of four species of previously alien Lepidoptera recorded in Papua (the Indonesian part of New Guinea) according to the Papua Insects Foundation.
