Houndfish

Tylosurus crocodilus

Habitat:

Shallow-water (to 30 feet) inshore fish is frequently found drifting near the surface over grass flats and patch reefs.

Notes:

There are usually a bunch of these all along these beach.

Not sure about common name, those names can be very random or whimsical, so who knows why they started calling it hound. But look at the scientific name, isn’t it great? “ crocodilus” sure fits that mouth!
