Leech

Description:

three orders, eight families, 19 genera, and 81 nominal species. They are frequent in lakes, streams and ponds. This was found in Duck Lake but we also found a arge quantity of leeches (15 were on my leg at one time) in the Little Betsie River. They do not burrow so they are easy to remove.

Habitat:

parasite

I thought this was a good shot - you can clearly see that they are a segmented Annelid. Keeping them on me is too freaky!

Next time take a picture of them on your leg so we can see them better!
