Observed on cement floor between two houses, surrounded by a large semi-urban yard & garden, near to a disturbed patch of remnant lowland forest, in the equatorial tropics of northern New Guinea.
This (and perhaps other) species is decimating the coconut trees (Cocos nucifer) in my yard and in the surrounding area.
