Pingasa sp.
This lovely black and white moth has a hint of pink; wingspan 4.5 cm (1.8 inches).
Hills overlooking Manila.
Thanks Agnes! I'll check that out. In the meantime I'll just stick with Pingasa sp. (Back in 2011 a moth expert did warn me that the species might turn out not to be chlora.)
Hi Ann, not Pingasa chlora. I think more on Pingasa ruginaria, similar to Benigno's spotting - http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/306....Here are more pics you could compare with: http://www.boldsystems.org/index.php/Tax....Regards.
Am going to stick my neck out here and say, yes, it's another White Lopper Moth.
Is this another White Lopper Moth (Pingasa chlora)?http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/695...
