The Blesbok is indigenous to South Africa and is found in large numbers in all national parks with open grasslands, from the Transvaal Highveld, through the Free State veld, to as far south as the Eastern Cape. It is a plains species and dislikes wooded areas.

It is! Though if you want to see a lot of wildlife in a shorter period I would really recommend Tanzania - the Serengeti & Ngorongoro. Plus they only allow registered guides to drive in their national parks so there is far less traffic than the South African reserves like Kruger & Addo.
Lovely area - my envy showing!
I did 6 weeks of volunteering on a game reserve in South Africa called Amakhala in 2008. I was in involved in a lion monitoring project but got to see a lot of wildlife while I was over there. It was a very memorable experience!
So Karen Nice Photos - where were they taken?
No problem! For me that's what this website is all about!
Karen Thanks for sharing such important learning spotting..!!
