Lactarius Deliciosus

Description:

Large orange coloured mushroom. Thick pale stalk with orange pits, the cap has a concave center and the edges turn downwards becoming vase shaped with age. It turns green when bruised. Flesh and gills produce a sweet orange milk. Edible mushroom, pungent flavour, suppose to taste like veal.

Habitat:

Found associated with pine trees.

Notes:

Can be confused with Lactarius deterrimus or Lactarius Salmonicolor.
