Meliphaga lewinii
A small to medium bird (about 22cm) with a simple but appealing call at this time of year. The call was made of 3 separate pairs or short ringing whistles. Olive coloured on the back; a fine cream line under the eyes; a larger white crescent patch behind the cheeks.
In a local national park. Dry, open eucalyptus woodlands with mixed understory.
